Job Summary

NetApp is seeking a motivated and curious Product Manager Intern to support the Keystone Subscription Engine team, with a focus on subscription management. This internship offers hands-on experience working on a real-world product that supports NetApp’s growth in the Storage as a Service (STaaS) market.

As an intern, you will collaborate with experienced Product Managers, engineers, and cross-functional partners to help improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and product clarity while building foundational product management skills. You’ll work on real products with real impact, alongside people who like to ship fast, learn loudly, and occasionally argue (politely) over the best solution.

Job Responsibilities

  • Product Support & Execution: Assist Senior Product Managers in executing the product roadmap for the Keystone Subscription Engine, particularly in areas like service catalog updates and subscription onboarding workflows.
  • Subscription Management Assistance: Help maintain and document the service catalog by organizing capabilities, service tiers, and configuration options to ensure accuracy and ease of use.
  • Onboarding Experience: Support analysis and improvement of subscription onboarding processes by identifying friction points and suggesting automation or simplification opportunities.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Insights: Gather and summarize customer feedback, internal stakeholder inputs, and usage data to help inform product enhancements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, IT, operations and Enterprise Architecture teams to understand requirements, clarify features, and track progress.
  • Market & Competitive Research: Assist with research on industry trends, competitor offerings, and subscription-based business models in the STaaS space.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Help track key product metrics and prepare reports or decks that communicate insights, progress, and outcomes to the broader team.

Job Requirements

  • Scrappy and creative problem-solver with the ability to optimize limited resources and deliver efficient, thoughtful, and innovative solutions. Comfortable exploring AI-driven or non-AI approaches as appropriate; AI fluency or strong curiosity in applying AI to product problems is a significant plus
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in product management, SaaS/STaaS platforms, or subscription-based business models.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex problems into structured insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with data, documentation, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with automation, AI concepts, or customer experience tools is a plus.

What You’ll Gain

  • Real-world product management experience on a production-scale platform.
  • Exposure to enterprise subscription management engines and onboarding systems
  • Mentorship from experienced Product Managers and leaders
  • Opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a strategic growth area at NetApp
  • A fun, collaborative, and supportive group of people to work with, who value learning, curiosity, and getting things done together
