The project focuses on developing energy-efficient electrocoalescence techniques to enhance water-oil separation, reduce equipment corrosion and catalyst fouling, and improve crude oil quality.
Essential Functions:
-Conduct laboratory experiments using model emulsions to evaluate electrocoalescence performance.
-Investigate the effects of electric field parameters (intensity, frequency, waveform) on demulsification efficiency.
-Analyze the influence of surfactant types and emulsion properties on droplet behavior and phase separation.
-Assist in optimizing coalescer design and electrode configurations for improved energy and separation efficiency.
