The newest of NYU’s expansive network of global sites, NYU Los Angeles was launched in the fall of 2019. Each semester the program welcomes a cohort of advanced students interested in pursuing careers in the entertainment and media industries who engage in rigorous academic coursework taught by industry professionals. All students are required to enroll in the experiential learning seminar which allows students the opportunity to pair their classroom experience with a meaningful internship opportunity, working 16-30 hours per week. NYU LA’s presence benefits from connections with the 15,000+ alumni in Southern California and offers a variety of initiatives that serve that population and enlist it in support of undergraduate students in the program.
