Job Summary
The Sangwan Lab at the Feinberg School of Medicine is looking for a research technician to join our lab to work on stress signaling pathways. Candidates with experience with mammalian cell culture, gene editing in cells using CRISPR and protein purification will be preferred. We are looking for a passionate and curious scientist looking to get research experience.

Job Summary

Candidates with experience with mammalian cell culture, gene editing in cells using CRISPR and protein purification will be preferred. We are looking for a passionate and curious scientist looking to get research experience.
Specific Responsibilities
Molecular Biology:
- DNA, RNA, Protein isolation, purification and expression Western blotting
- PCR, RT-PCR
- Plasmid preparation
- Cloning, mapping and sequencing of DNA Recombinant protein expression in bacterial, insect and mammalian cells.
- Cell culture, cell isolation Gene editing using CRISPR Functional studies Transfection
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in a scientific major or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated laboratory experience.
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions as required by research protocols;
- Demonstrated computer skills, including spreadsheets and basic computations;
- Attention to detail and accurate record keeping;
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
