As a member of the Customer Success Services (CSS) organization, your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. Your responsibilities include performing system monitoring, managing day-to-day operations needed to maintain Cloud services up and running and collaborating with internal teams to implement best practices

Oracle Customer Success Services (CSS) is looking for Advanced Services Engineer to deliver post-sales support and provide expert assistance to ensure the optimal performance and availability of customer environments. The Advanced Customer Services (ACS) is a unit within Oracle’s Customer Service Organization that enables long term advanced support relationships with many of Oracle's largest customers.More information about CSS: https://oracle.com/css

Career Level - IC2


  • 3+ years of relevant experience as OCI and Database Administration
  • Knowledge of OCI environment, including compute instances, storage, security and network resources
  • Understanding of Oracle Database technologies and best practices
  • Monitor the OCI and Database environment for performance and availability
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Database High Availability and Disaster Recovery design
  • Knowledge on Observability & Management or any other Observability tools - Basic concepts and Monitoring&Events
  • Manage day-to-day operations needed to maintain Cloud services up and running
  • Troubleshoot issues related to the OCI and Database environments
  • knowledge of Oracle RMAN and other backup and recovery scenarios (nice to have)
  • Works with peers to improve products and services delivery and to expand the capabilities of services provided to Oracle customers
  • Document OCI configurations and procedures
  • Certification: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Associate/professional or Oracle Database Certified (nice to have)
  • Experience in automation using Shell scripts, Perl, Python, Ansible etc
  • Good to have knowledge in OS administration (Linux, Solaris)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure - quick thinking and remaining calm during stressful situations.
  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts and on weekends from office
  • Appetite to learn new technologies and constantly improve technical skills
  • Academics: B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech/M.C.A/M.Sc(Computer/IT)
