The Oracle Digital Assistant (ODA) team, the conversational AI arm of Oracle Health & AI, is building the world’s largest SaaS Digital Assistant platform to enable conversational AI experiences in the healthcare domain. Leveraging the advancements in Generative AI technologies, we seek to re-imagine healthcare applications and experience for both patients and clinicians. Our team is at the forefront of revolutionizing healthcare through advanced conversational AI and clinical automation solutions.

We are seeking a driven, hands-on software data engineer that is passionate about working with complex datasets and thrives in an iterative and collaborative environment. You will partner with teams throughout Oracle to ingest data, translate business problems into technical requirements, and design data engineering and visualisation solutions to solve those problems. In this role, you will partner with data architects, software developers and analysts to deliver robust solutions to nuanced questions.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering roles
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering roles.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), and working familiarity with Oracle database.
  • Experience with data-oriented scripting languages: Java, Python.
  • Experience with data visualization software – OAC, Tableau, PowerBI.
  • Comfortable working in an Agile SDLC environment
  • Source control & deployment systems, issue tracking, development KPIs
  • Experience building and optimizing data architectures and data sets.
  • Experience with build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Helpful Skills

  • Understanding of Healthcare data domains – Claims, EHR

Special Requirements: Successful candidates might be required to perform on-call duty on rotational basis.
