As Manager in OCI, you will provide leadership to a dedicated team tasked with overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of projects within OCI for the services you own. Your role will involve ensuring that the team's objectives are consistently aligned with the broader organizational goals, maintaining focus on long-term stability and scalability, and delivering on product roadmap. By fostering high-performance culture, you will mentor and develop team members, creating an environment that encourages continuous learning and professional growth.

Additionally, you will be responsible for talent development within the team. You will lead by example in identifying and nurturing talent, engaging in career development discussions, and offering guidance to support the professional development of each team member. Your commitment to promoting excellence will ensure that team members have access to opportunities for growth, while your advocacy for OCI values will instill a sense of purpose and commitment throughout the team.

You will establish clear, measurable goals for both individual team members and the broader team, ensuring that these objectives are aligned with OCI's strategy. You will implement robust processes to monitor progress, assess performance, and maintain accountability at all levels. Your results-oriented approach will focus on delivering tangible outcomes that contribute to the success of OCI's critical infrastructure initiatives.

Qualifications

- BS or MS degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.

- 5+ years of experience in people management, with a proven track record in managing large-scale critical service

- Experience leading the development of cloud services, strong technical knowledge and experience with overall software development process

- Demonstrated expertise in distributed systems, messaging domains, Kubernetes ecosystem

- Demonstrated ability to identify and recruit strong engineering talent

- Demonstrated expertise in project management and practical experience with both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices

- Demonstrated expertise in scaling systems and processes through advanced tooling and automation

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences, including senior leadership

- Results-driven leadership, thriving in a dynamic product development environment that is agile and collaborative, even when faced with ambiguity and competing priorities

Your responsibilities will include setting up development pipelines and deploying applications into development, test, and production environments. You will develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and work with Kubernetes for container orchestration and scaling of distributed applications.
