The Job

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. We're looking for a senior (10+ years experience) Oracle Application Express developer to join our team to assist with the design, development & deployment of a Oracle internal facing applications - all built with APEX. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is capable and willing to work remotely. The candidate will also be comfortable with full-cycle design and standards-based development. Experience with data modeling, PL/SQL, JavaScript and general web development are definitely required. Experience with a DevOps pipeline using Jira & Git is preferred but not required.

Daily tasks will be focused around working with the technical and business teams to transform requirements into specifications and then transforming those specifications into a working APEX application. You'll be building APEX applications on the latest release of APEX and will be required to write backend PL/SQL code. An extreme emphasis is placed on security, and every bit of code created will be scrutinized for vulnerabilities. Depending on the requirement, it's possible that you'll also need to understand how to interact with RESTful web services in the context of APEX.

Qualifications
