About the product:
ORACLE Database Knowledge Agent (DBSA) is a subcomponent of the ORACLE Applied AI Group. DBSA It is a service that provides accurate answers to your questions about Oracle Database and related products. It leverages cutting-edge AI capabilities in Oracle Autonomous Database 26ai, such as AI Vector Search, and integrates with OCI Generative AI Service to deliver relevant, context-aware responses.

The Challenge: Database-related content is scattered across multiple silos, making it difficult to find the right information quickly.
Our Solution: DBSA consolidates content from various sources such as product documentation, white papers, AskTOM, and MOS KM Documents, and creates custom embeddings stored in the Oracle Database. Using state-of-the-art AI, DBSA then transforms the fragmented, siloed data into actionable insights, enhancing productivity and decision-making for Oracle developers and support engineers.

About us:
The ORACLE Applied AI group in Mexico currently consists of about 25+ industry-leading developers who participate across multiple products. We partner with our development team in US and India. As a member of the software engineering division at Oracle you will participate in all phases of software product definition, development and ongoing enhancement and support.

Desired Skills:
- Proficiency with machine learning algorithms and concepts
- Proficiency with basic database schema management and operation
- Familiarity with code development in PL/SQL, C, C++, Java, Perl (at least 2)
- 3+ years of work experience
- 1+ years of experience in developing or using deep learning frameworks e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, etc.
- Strong analytical skills and an independent thinker
- English is a must have, excellent written and oral communication, strong interpersonal skills and willingness to be a team player.
- Proficiency with coding in Python. Algorithms and data structures.
- Experience working with Cloud services, or building your own server (Personal cloud, automation, “homelab”, Linux, containerized VMs, Networking) is a bug plus
- CI/CD & DevOps Tools: Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Terraform, and other DevOps practices for infrastructure as code.
- Networking & Security: Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs) and cybersecurity best practices.

Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP)
- Familiarity with designing and implementation of machine learning and AI based system
- Familiarity with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline
- BS/MS/PhD degree in computer science, computer engineering, applied math or related field

As a member of this team, you will continue with DBSA product Lifecyle: design, development, deployment in the Cloud and any future integration. DBSA is the core component providing the knowledge sources that feed the “AI Private Agent Factory” a recently released ORACLE 26ai feature that provides a no-code AI agent builder and deployment framework. You will have these responsibilities:
- Improve the accuracy of existing algorithms to an acceptable level
- Broaden existing algorithms to work well with various Oracle products
- Improve the run-time of existing algorithms
- Develop and maintain necessary infrastructure to run and maintain the algorithms
- Develop a feedback system to improve the selection of features for the algorithms
