The Java Platform Group is looking for an experienced, passionate, and highly motivated Software Engineer to join our world class development efforts. Our team is responsible for delivering the Java platform that is used by millions of developers. We are looking for a seasoned engineer with a thorough understanding of testing methodologies, a passion for quality, a strong technical background to advance our processes, and a desire to make a positive change in our product.
Career Level - IC3
As a member of the Java Security Quality team, you will work with the world class engineers in Java security and get to learn and test most recent security enhancements and complex vulnerabilities to ensure they are of high quality. This involves complex test development and automation adhering to secure coding guidelines, writing new frameworks, bug escape analysis, regression testing and code coverage analysis.
Required skills and knowledge:
- B.E/B.Tech in a Computer Science
- 8+ years of experience in Software Development
- Strong Java knowledge
- Good exposure on security: PKI, TLS, SSL, Kerberos, S/MIME, Cryptography
- Exposure on Fuzzing Tools, Static Analysis Tools (Fortify, SpotBugs)
- Hands on experience with writing secure real world J2SE applications
- Experience in Java Language: Java Compiler, Java Tools, Java Language Support, Invoke Dynamic, Lambda and Annotations
- Experience in Java Core Platform Libraries: Libraries, Networking, XML, JNDI
- Strong hands-on experience on multi-threaded programming and cross-platform, system-level debugging
- Exposure on Make, Ant, shell scripting
- Good knowledge on JUnit, TestNG
- Basic administration skills on linux, windows, solaris, mac
- Good written and verbal English skills
Preferable skills and knowledge:
- Experience in writing code adhering to secure coding guidelines
- Java Certified Programmer
- Experience working in distributed teams
