In this role you will be accountable for engineering solutions and deployment strategies for Siebel on cloud. You will be integral part of Siebel development team. You are expected to code using Python and on a day-to-day basis, you will be working with cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, Containerization, Helm, Observability, Telemetry, GitOps, PaaS, Terraform, and Cloud infrastructure to build highly scalable and well-rounded cloud native product life cycle management solution.

You are expected to use standard reference architectures to arrive at pipelines for cloud infrastructure, continuous integrations and continuous delivery/deployment. You will be engaged with a highly collaborative development team to build effective DevOps solutions in cloud.

Senior DevOps Engineer, CX

Qualification

  • Possess B.E/ B.Tech/ M.E/ M.Tech degree in computer science or relevant experience.
  • Possess 4-10 years of Software Industry experience required.
  • Possess 2-5 years of DevOps/Cloud experience required.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work well both in groups and independently.
  • Attention to details & strong analytical and engineering skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate successfully across cross-functional teams.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

Special Skills

  • Experience on any public cloud like OCI, GCP, AWS or Azure
  • Familiarity/experience with AI
  • Hands-on experience in setting up pipelines using terraforms, Ansible or any competent frameworks.
  • Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
  • Comfortable working in a Kubernetes environment on a day-to-day basis, for building pipelines and deploying, managing applications.
  • Experience on working with service mesh, rolling updates, GitOps using Flux cd or Argo cd is a plus.
  • Hands on experience with monitoring, log management tools such as ELK/ EFK stack or Splunk or OpenSearch stack.
  • Well versed in python programming.
  • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix commands
  • SQL and RDBMS knowledge desired
  • REST Web Services knowledge is desired.
  • Agile/SCRUM process development methodology knowledge/experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop prototypes, and demonstrations using cloud native technologies.
  • Work closely with development teams to understand requirements of different artifacts of deployments.
  • Managing infrastructure stack upgrades, includes nodes, clusters, istio/service mesh, GitOps tools, etc.
  • Maintenance of pipelines and related scripts.
  • Automation Script development: developing scripts for various applications using Python or Bash in an agile development ecosystem.
  • Extend the automation framework as necessary
  • Doing research and adopt readily available standard open-source tools to accomplish the goal of automation.
  • Writing detailed guides for the features.
