About Team :

The Oracle Health organization is building a modern healthcare ecosystem with a robust API layer to facilitate third-party integrations. We're actively seeking skilled developers to spearhead the creation of the next-generation API platform and deliver a world-class developer experience for users of Oracle Health APIs. As a member of our engineering team, you'll play a pivotal role in expanding our API catalog's scope, propelling the API store's evolution, and elevating developer tooling and engagement. You'll collaborate with API producers across Oracle Health to establish and automate a standardized API definition, documentation, and publication approach. Furthermore, you'll engage with API consumers to ensure the smooth and effective discovery of APIs, enable robust developer engagement and support, facilitate seamless system integration, and ensure successful customer delivery. Our overarching goal is to foster top-tier product integrations for Oracle Health partners and clients.

8+ yrs building scalable, secure APIs. Strong in Java/Python, cloud (OCI/AWS/Azure), system design, telemetry, and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development of robust, scalable web applications using back-end technologies.
• Architect, design, and implement features across APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Identify and address performance, security, and scalability challenges proactively.
• Uphold coding best practices, conduct peer code reviews, and set standards for junior engineers.
• Mentor team members to drive technical growth and foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with Oracle’s quality, security, privacy, and compliance standards.


Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• More than 8 years of experience in developing and operating APIs
• Demonstrated proficiency in writing excellent code in Java, Python, or similar object-oriented languages.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing APIs that scale efficiently and securely.
• Demonstrates strong expertise in cloud technologies, including OCI, AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.
• Utilizes telemetry in software engineering to inform and make data-driven decisions
• A solid grasp of fundamental system design principles and best practices in distributed systems architecture.
• Hands-on experience managing a vast ecosystem of APIs, with knowledge of essential tooling and best practices for efficient operation and maintenance of large-scale API networks.
• Experience in common open source Software and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GIT or other Continues Integration/version control tools etc.
• Solid experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Azure) and CI/CD practices.
• Skilled in leading teams and mentoring developers, with a proven record of managing projects effectively from inception to completion, aligning with organizational goals
