Our i.s.h.med hosting DevOps team is specialized in automation frameworks and focusses on automation for initializing and managing i.s.h.med instances including interfaces on OCI. We are seeking dynamic people to join this high-profile, agile development team to own the planning, execution, and delivery of i.s.h.med based customer implementations of Oracle Cloud projects. Senior DevOps Engineer i.s.h.med

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Responsibilities:

  1. As Senior DevOps engineer you will be partnering with various organizations, development, IT and Global Security, and drive technical solutions within the pipeline and other tools utilized by the i.s.h.med development teams.
  2. You will play an active role in design, build and operation of OCI infrastructure, including system configurations, automation and environment life cycle management.
  3. In your role you will act as a leader and help mentor junior level team members on various DevOps related activities, e.g. Monitoring, troubleshooting
  4. Plan, execute and improve patching, hardening and security activities across a growing landscape of OCI based systems and services.
  5. Perform regular security scans, maintain infrastructure inventories, and ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
  6. You will take ownership of selected technical program management activities, including infrastructure capacity planning, cost forecasting, and long-term scalability considerations.
  7. You will be part of a team which is responsible to ensure the product life cycle and pipeline, processes and tools are enhance and performing to highest SLA standards
  8. Engage with Global Security and IT teams to analyze and define best practices for security, performance, and cloud infrastructure.

Needed skills

  1. Expert in troubleshooting OS and application issues on all IaaS layers (Application, Data, Runtime, Middleware, O/S), investigating application as well as Operation System performance issues.
  2. Strong experience with Linux and Windows environments.
  3. Solid cloud expertise: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI preferred), or AWS / Azure.
  4. Strong hands-on work knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Kubernetes and other DevOps solutions
  5. Must have programming/scripting experience: Java, Python, Perl, bash-scripting, with Rest API knowledge
  6. Excellent written and documentation skills
  7. Strong understanding of security standards, compliance requirements, and best practices.
  8. Experience with monitoring and observability tools in enterprise environments.
