Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer 3 (IC3) to join our dynamic team building OCI’s next‑generation, native artifact service. This multi‑tenant, highly available platform securely stores, manages, and distributes build artifacts at cloud scale and underpins OCI’s CI/CD ecosystem. In this role, you will design, implement, and operate core services; drive the replacement of a legacy system through robust migration tooling; and deliver seamless CI/CD integrations with strong software supply chain security. Seeking an experienced Software Developer to design, build, and operate OCI’s next‑generation artifact service—improving scale, security, reliability, and developer productivity while driving migration from a legacy platform.
Career Level - IC3
As a key contributor, you will lead the design and implementation of systems for managing, updating, and consuming build artifacts. You will collaborate closely with service teams and CI/CD stakeholders to ensure seamless integration with the broader OCI ecosystem and maintain operational resilience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design & Implementation: Architect and implement a high-scalability service capable of handling thousands of requests per minute.
- Migration: Develop a solution for migrating petabytes of historical artifacts from the legacy system to the new platform, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
- CI/CD Integration: Seamlessly integrate the artifact management system into OCI’s CI/CD pipelines across all services.
- Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to technical design discussions, code reviews, and documentation to ensure the system is robust, maintainable, and aligned with best practices.
- Monitoring & Improvement: Track adoption and usage patterns, identify potential gaps, and drive continuous improvements to optimize system performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in designing and developing scalable distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in cloud infrastructure, particularly Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and CI/CD workflows.
- Experience with data migration strategies for large-scale systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with various engineering teams.
- Expertise in monitoring system performance and driving operational improvements.
