Job Summary
As a Principal VBCS Developer, you will lead the design and implementation of complex business applications using Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS). You will translate intricate business requirements into intuitive, scalable, and secure web and mobile applications integrated with Oracle Cloud services and APIs. Expertise in JavaScript, REST integrations, and application UX/UI design is required. This role is ideal for technical leaders passionate about low-code application development on Oracle Cloud.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of modern web and mobile applications using Oracle VBCS for cloud and on-premises environments.
- Design, implement, and optimize application workflows, ensuring high performance, security, and a user-centric experience.
- Provide guidance on VBCS best practices, app architecture, and performance optimization for application development.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define functional requirements and translate them into scalable VBCS solutions.
- Implement and govern RESTful API integrations to connect VBCS applications with Oracle and third-party systems.
- Apply best practices in low-code development, UX/UI design, error handling, and application security.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex application and integration issues within VBCS.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to development teams on VBCS.
- Identify opportunities for automation, process efficiency, and continuous improvement in application development and deployment.

Qualifications & Skills
Mandatory:
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) in designing and building web/mobile applications.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern web development practices.
- Experience integrating VBCS applications with RESTful APIs, Oracle SaaS, and on-premises applications.
- Solid understanding of low-code development best practices, UX/UI design, error handling, and application security standards.
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, and deployment of VBCS applications.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills for resolving application and integration issues.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, engaging with business and technical stakeholders.
Good-to-Have:
- Prior experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or related Oracle PaaS offerings.
- Familiarity with mobile-first and responsive design principles.
- Exposure to Oracle ERP Cloud, Supply Chain (SCM), or other enterprise business applications.
- Understanding of advanced authentication protocols and API management tools.
- Do I have hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying applications using Oracle VBCS?
- Am I proficient in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern web development frameworks?
