You should be highly experienced in some Oracle products and several platforms that are being supported. You will be expected to work with only general guidance from management while advising management on progress/status.

- Implement best practices such as parameterized pipelines, idempotent runs, retries, rollback handling, notifications, and environment segregation (Dev/Test/Prod)
- Maintain reusable Jenkins shared libraries for standardized automation
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD and release deployment pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and GitLab Runners, including environment promotion, approval gates, artifact versioning, and rollback strategies. Support Jenkins-based pipelines where required for legacy integrations.
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Develop and manage Terraform modules for cloud infrastructure and database provisioning
- Handle Terraform state management, remote backends, locking, workspaces, and module versioning
- Automate provisioning of compute, networking, storage, and database infrastructure
- Debug and optimize Terraform plans and applies across complex environments
Cloud Platforms
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI):
- Compartments, IAM policies, compute, networking, storage
- Automation for Exadata Cloud Service (ExaCS), Base DB / DBCS (Bronze, Silver, Gold), and Autonomous Database (ADB)
- Experience or strong understanding of Oracle Database @ Azure:
- Architecture and deployment model
- Networking and automation considerations
- Adapting OCI automation patterns for Azure-hosted Oracle DB services
Database-Aware DevOps
- Support database-centric automation including:
- Database provisioning pipelines
- DB Home creation and patching automation
- Storage layout automation (DATA, RECO, backups)

- Awareness of AWR-based sizing inputs (AWR Miner) and migration automation (e.g., ZDM)
- Collaborate closely with DBAs, architects, and operations teams
Platform & Product Automation
- Build automation aligned to platform and product-based delivery, not one-off scripts
- Implement blueprint-driven provisioning and standardized pipelines
Security, Compliance & Operations
- Apply DevSecOps best practices:
- Secrets management (OCI Vault, Jenkins credentials)
- Least-privilege IAM policies
- Secure pipeline execution
- Integrate logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability into automation
- Ensure production readiness with operational hooks and runbook-aligned automation
