Join the Oracle Health and Analytics Cloud Performance Engineering (PSR) team as a Senior Member of Technical Staff. You’ll be directly involved in elevating the Performance, Scalability, Availability, and Reliability of Oracle Cloud Services.
You’ll participate in the complete software development lifecycle from a performance perspective—engaging in performance benchmarking and analysis, sizing, and helping resolve production performance challenges to ensure exceptional customer success.
You will own smaller projects/services, work hands-on with tools (such as JMeter or deployment utilities), and contribute to process automation and enhancing key metrics and KPIs.
Modification and improvement to multiple component pipelines, deployments, validations. Own and improve metrics, KPIs, visualizations for a system. Automating and mitigating sources of operational toil.
Works independently on most projects. Sometimes Under guidance of senior member who is leading the project in areas that require experience building and operating mission-critical systems in the cloud industry. Develops changes that other engineers can safely deploy.
Scope & Required Experience: (IC3)
As an IC3, your focus is on solving problems related to specific projects or applications.
- Ideally 5-7 years of sound software performance engineering or related experience
- Demonstrated interest in performance engineering and problem-solving
- Experience with Java/J2EE, C++ (Python experience is a plus)
- Good understanding and hands-on experience with microservices, load testing, or profiling tools
- Practical experience with JMeter scripting and debugging complex applications
- Exposure to Linux, Docker, Virtualization, Compute, Database & Networking technologies
- Interest or experience in AI/ML, prompt engineering, NLP, and speech processing
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science

- Develop, test, and debug software with strong emphasis on optimizing for performance and scalability
- Assist in running performance tests and analyzing the results to identify improvement opportunities
- Troubleshoot basic performance issues, with guidance as needed
- Participate in architecture and design discussions; learn from senior team members
- Document findings and contribute to improving established processes
- Work with team members across diverse cloud technologies and performance domains
Responsibilities:
As a member of the software engineering division:
- Participate in evaluating and evolving performance standards and methodologies.
- Analyze performance bottlenecks at all tiers to ensure services’ stability and scalability.
- Perform professional software development tasks associated with the debugging of software applications or operating systems.
- Provide input to the regressions, Issues and area of improvement in execution and result gathering with a focus on performance.
- Suggest and implement ideas for new products, services, and process improvements.
- Contribute to documenting best practices for team-wide benefit develop and debug software for cloud applications and operating systems,
- Bug/Jira tracking and providing details for issues and analysis.
