Your primary responsibility is to lead technical discussions, design solutions, and drive successful adoption of MySQL HeatWave in enterprise and strategic accounts. You will serve as a trusted advisor for customers while also contributing to best practices and reusable assets that benefit the wider team.

Key activities include:

• Leading proof of concepts, benchmarks, and technical evaluations with customers.
• Designing and documenting repeatable architectures and cloud solutions.
• Delivering customer-facing technical workshops, demos, and presentations.
• Creating new industry-focused solutions using cloud-native technologies.
• Driving reporting and metrics on business activities and customer success.
• Collaborating with product management and engineering teams to provide feedback and influence roadmap.
• Acting as a mentor for junior engineers to help them grow technically.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree.
• Relevant professional experience in software engineering, consulting, or solutions engineering roles.
• Proficiency with 2 or more scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, C++).
• Solid hands-on experience with at least 2 database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architecture.
• Proven ability to lead technical conversations with enterprise customers.
• Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to travel frequently (up to 50%).

Bonus Points (not required, but nice to have):

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Oracle, AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with cloud-native technologies such as containers, streaming, and monitoring.
• Exposure to analytics, machine learning, or data science use cases.
• Experience with project management methodologies or certifications (PMP, CAPM).
• Public speaking or published contributions (articles, blogs, community talks).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish.
