Work You’ll Do : You will be a part of The Database Cloud Service team which is responsible for designing, developing and delivering the Oracle Database product on Public Cloud Platforms and the work includes below but may not be limited to the following:

• Build and manage One touch, CI CD and Deployment Pipeline for cloud services.
• Build and optimize automated workflows for deploying, scaling, and monitoring using AI-agents.
• Using AI models, Develop and Integrate necessary tooling to improve the code quality and security.
• Build diagnose tooling to indicate the errors in pipeline,
• Build and report Dashboard for Pipeline health.
• Provide technical leadership to a team of DevOps engineers
• Develop automation for administration, security and observability as needed
• Help drive the execution of monitoring, uptime availability, configuration management, performance tuning and security aspects of the service development.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures/documentation
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to bring about scalability, reliability and cost of ownership improvements to existing infrastructure and architecture
• Drive, Define, and Implement monitoring services for data centers to incorporate key quality indicator (KQI) towards development and deployment of SLAs
• Work closely with the development, quality assurance, and product management teams, to ensure the timely delivery of database cloud software releases and patches.
• Identify tactical issues and emerging areas of concern, Follow Agile Development methodology and adapt service pipelines to changing needs.

What You’ll Bring

• Must have 8+ years of experience in managing CI/ CD and deployments with strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive
• Strong experience with DevOps tools and concepts (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Strong background in Linux Administration.
• Familiarity with AI/ML model deployment practices, MLOps, or ModelOps frameworks
• Handson experience in Development, Test and Deployment.
• Expertise in Dev tooling, scanning and validations at each stage of the CI/CD pipeline such as Static checks, Code coverage, Security scans, QA validation etc.
• Experience with automation/configuration management using either Terraform, Ansible, or an equivalent
• Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services such as Jenkins, GitHub, Pager duty etc.
• Experience in any Unix shell script, Perl script and Python.
• Experience in using repository management tools like Artifactory/Nexus is a must .
• Strong troubleshooting skills to investigate errors in pipeline
• Developing custom solution as per organization process and compliance requirements
• Knowledge of best DevOps methodologies in an always-up, always-available service
• Have been successful in working across organizational boundaries, bringing together people with diverse perspectives and experience to find solutions
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to detecting and resolving issues.

Working with a world class team, as a Principal DEVOPS engineer, you will be working collaboratively with software engineering on the CI/CD and DevOps area for the Oracle Database Cloud service, help automate and streamline our processes, build and maintain tools for continuous development, testing, delivery, deployment and monitoring, troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test and production environments.

• As a member of the Devops team, you will have resonsibilities to contribute your own ideas on how to smartly deploy and manage large scale distributed Database-as-a-Service offerings for the public and private clouds
• Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/ tools/ services / processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology as well as mentoring engineers in the DEVOPS team. Part of the charter will also entail recommending and justifying major changes to existing products/services/processes
