Design, develop, troubleshoot and Key Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain failure-simulation frameworks that span compute, storage, networking, load balancers, and application endpoints, including chaos and controlled-fault injection.
- Design and automate load, scale, and performance test suites; capture, correlate, and visualize metrics to quantify blast radius and resilience.
- Investigate and triage failure events using advanced tracing (ASH, AWR, SQLNET, SQL tracing), log analytics, and telemetry; deliver root-cause analysis with actionable remediation guidance.
- Collaborate with product and SRE teams to embed resiliency best practices, certify OS/database stacks for OCI, and shepherd new components from development into production-quality readiness.
- Evolve test methodologies, frameworks, and automation pipelines to meet emerging product architectures across databases, middleware, applications, and cloud services.
- Champion cross-team knowledge sharing, mentor peers, and drive continuous improvement in quality engineering processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- 7+ years in product development with strong scripting (Python, Bash), Java, and automation skills; 4+ years in SRE, DevOps, infrastructure, or database-focused roles.
- Hands-on mastery of Oracle RDBMS (12c/18c/19c), RAC/Grid, GoldenGate, Active Data Guard, Fusion apps, Enterprise Manager, and high-performance SQL/PLSQL tuning.
- Expertise with OCI provisioning, SDK/CLI automation, telemetry, and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Practical experience with chaos engineering platforms (e.g., Chaos Monkey, Gremlin) and custom fault-injection tooling.
- Experience with latest AI Tools (Codex, Skills, Skill Book)
- Proven ability to build monitoring, billing/metering analytics, and metric-driven dashboards that inform reliability decisions.
- Deep Linux troubleshooting knowledge, networking/TCP/IP fluency, and experience with load balancing and proxy technologies.
- Proficiency with modern CI/CD tooling and infrastructure-as-code (OKE, Docker, Terraform, Chef, Ansible), plus agile team delivery.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks, Selenium, Jenkins, Artifactory, Bitbucket, and collaboration platforms (Jira, Confluence, Slack).
- Demonstrated success evaluating open-source software, driving proof-of-concept studies, and translating functional specs into automated test cases.
