The system test team is part of the Database Server Technologies division. It is responsible for performing multi-tier stress, destructive, and performance tests using various testing tools, to emulate real-world enterprise DB usage scenarios. These simulations are conducted in a lab environment consisting of tens/hundreds of servers, to mimic end-to-end high-stress scenarios, involving large and complex DB configurations.

As a member of the team, we will give you proper training, so you get the chance to explore the latest Oracle AI DB features and technologies. You will gain first-hand experience in a few very large/complex DB configurations, both for on-premises and Oracle Cloud service. You will be responsible for designing cases and writing shell or Python codes and to automate the tests. Key Objective

1. Log and track product defects as encountered.
2. Enhance the test tools / infrastructure, and aim for an automated testing framework with flexibility and simplicity.
3. Create, implement, and maintain test plans and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned areas to ensure product quality by exposing defects, identifying regressions, and verifying resolutions.
4. Ensure Oracle Real Application Cluster functions well with specific configurations, including various workloads, network, storage, Oracle Enterprise Linux, and servers
5. Ensure quality of appliance kit, including graphical configurator, deployment tool, storage management tool, and validation tool to provide automated maintenance capabilities, and higher availability to our customers.
6. Ensure quality of new ease-of-use features to provide proactive, predictive, and lower risks to our customers.
7. Ensure quality of post-release patching by understanding new features/enhancements and verifying various fixes.

Qualifications

• B.Tech./B.E./M.Tech./M.E. degree in Computer Science with 3+ years of software engineering with proven results in designing, implementing and operating complex cloud services.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals including algorithms, data structure, databases, and system concepts. Complete product development life-cycle experience with good software engineering skills. Knowledge of security best practices and standards in cloud development.
• Experience with Relational/NoSQL Databases, knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) and strong programming skills, preferably Python, Go or Java.
• Knowledge or experience of observability cloud services and platform that ingest, ETL and query telemetry data such as logs, traces and metrics.
• Solid grasp of HTTP, TCP and RESTful web services and development experience in RESTful services and Microservices with familiarity of networking concepts and protocols.
• Linux/Unix OS system level experience and knowledge of Exadata is a big plus.
• Experience of agile/lean development, test-driven development methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with agentic engineering is a strong plus.
