We are seeking an experienced Consulting Member of Technical Staff/ Senior Principal Software Developer with a robust background in backend engineering, AI/ML, and large-scale cloud systems, to lead the development of next-generation GenAI analytics solutions. You will work on critical components of OCI’s AI platform, including high-scale GPU cluster management, self-service ML infrastructure, and model serving systems.

Job Description :
This role is central to the development and deployment of intelligent AI systems that would enhance service value proposition, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making. The individual will design, develop, train, and implement machine learning and deep learning models capable of processing large datasets and generating actionable insights. Collaboration with data scientists, software developers, and business leaders is essential to integrate these models into existing systems. The position requires a deep understanding of machine learning/NLP, deep learning, data processing, and generative AI to ensure that solutions are robust, scalable, and impactful.
Senior AI/ML engineer with exceptional proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java) and expertise in data processing tools (Pandas, NumPy). Possesses in-depth knowledge of cutting-edge AI/ML technologies, including Generative AI, RAG architecture, and related frameworks (Langchain, Llamaindex).

Responsibilities
Design / Create and optimize models capable of generating high-quality content, such as text, images, audio, or video, based on specified parameters and datasets.
Design, build, and optimize machine learning models, deep learning architectures to solve specific business challenges.
Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets to ensure high-quality data is used for training models.
Train AI models on large datasets, tune hyperparameters, and evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics.
Conduct experiments to test model accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
Deploy AI models into production environments, ensuring they integrate smoothly with existing software systems. Monitor, update & refine the performance of deployed models.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and related technologies.
Communicate technical concepts, model results, and AI capabilities to non-technical stakeholders.
Ensure AI models and solutions adhere to ethical guidelines.
Enable and support fellow team members.
Qualifications:
BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field, with 10+ years of professional experience
Excellent design and programming skills with expertise in Java, Python
Experience designing and building distributed systems
Solid understanding of designing systems for performance, efficiency, and availability with a strong customer focus
Strong work ethic, flexibility, and proven attention to quality and detail
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skills in a Cloud environment
Cloud development experience on one of the major platforms (Oracle, AWS, Azure, GCP)
AI/ML experience:
Demonstrated experience building and operating Generative AI, Agentic, and RAG systems
Strong experience supporting ML Ops loop
Comfortable working with science teams
Experience with Code Generation Assisting technologies
Big Data skills with open source frameworks like Apache Spark
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building AI scalable services/applications for scale
Background in cloud operations, DevOps, or infrastructure monitoring domains
Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or other major cloud platforms
Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure, MCP, or LLM serving technologies
Interest in distributed systems, observability, and scalability challenges
Able to operate and lead with ambiguity
Willingness to learn and contribute to high-impact projects
