As a Senior Systems Engineer you are responsible for architecture, design, administration, and maintenance of all Linux-based servers, storage, and underlying infrastructure for the our data center infrastructure. You will perform both advanced Linux administration tasks and tasks related to automation, and you will also participate in capacity planning, performance measurement, server and storage design.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Dublin, Ireland.
Career Level - IC3
Key responsibilities include
- Design, deploy, and operate enterprise-grade Oracle Enterprise Linux (Windows support as needed).
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and patching using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and related tooling.
- Develop and maintain operational automation primarily in Python (PowerShell is a plus).
- Support OCI services (compute, network, storage, IAM) and progressively take ownership through hands-on delivery.
- Work with Kubernetes/containers (OKE preferred) and troubleshoot containerized/microservices-based services.
- Implement and maintain identity/access patterns including OCI IAM and LDAP (AD knowledge helpful).
- Maintain compliance and security posture via vulnerability management, patching, and zero-day response.
- Improve monitoring and logging, respond to incidents, perform RCA, and participate in on-call duty.
Required skills and experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Linux systems administration / systems engineering roles, including production support and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)—strong preference for Terraform (modules, state, change control practices).
- Proficiency in Python for automation and operational tooling.
- Understanding of Kubernetes/containers fundamentals and ability to troubleshoot containerized services in a microservices environment.
- Experience with patching, lifecycle management, and configuration management principles (Linux-focused).
- Experience working with hyperscaler cloud platforms and hybrid operations
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging concepts (metrics, logs, alerts, SLIs/SLOs, incident response workflows).
- Strong collaboration skills in a global, cross-functional environment.
- Fluent in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Industry certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, Microsoft Windows Server, or cloud fundamentals (e.g., OCI Associate) are preferred but not mandatory.
- Interest in adopting CI/CD pipelines, enterprise monitoring solutions, and DevOps methodologies.
