The Global Physical Security (GPS) System Team manages physical security technology across the Corporation. Oracle is seeking a highly experienced software engineer to work on critical physical security infrastructure automation initiatives to support OCI’s multi cloud and hyperscale data center growth. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the design, build and delivery of essential physical security infrastructure components.

We are looking for a hand-on senior engineer with infrastructure automation experience. You should have experience with the development of major features and launching them into production. We are looking for senior engineer with experience building automation for provisioning, upgrade and monitoring of cloud services. You should be able to code and build integration against 3rd party security products. You've operated high-scale services and understand how to make them more resilient. You can drive projects and tasks independently. You will be working on automating bootstrapping configuration of physical devices using API of device providers. You should be familiar with all levels of the software, hardware, and network stack.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & KEY COMPETENCIES

  • A BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8+ years’ experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, Python or C++, and experience with shell scripting
  • Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and cloud network architectures.
  • Demonstrated experience of building systems monitoring and alerting in cloud using Prometheus, Grafana and PagerDuty or equivalent alerting system
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Chef, Ansible and Jenkins
  • Experience with developing REST API
  • Experience with building integration against 3rd party REST API
  • Hands on experience with Kubernetes, Docker and Helm for container build, deployment and management
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with major cloud providers (OCI, AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud).
  • Strong knowledge of databases, NoSQL, storage and distributed persistence technologies.
  • Experience with production operations and best practices for putting quality code in production and troubleshoot issues when they arise

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Windows OS and PowerShell
  • Proficiency with JavaScript and Web UI Development
  • Proficiency with modern build tools and pipelines
  • Proficiency building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure
  • Proficiency with Security including Identity, SSL and certificates
