This person will own the product strategy, requirements, and delivery governance for Oracle Linux and the Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel (UEK), aligned with OCI platform roadmaps and service-team needs. Operates as a senior individual contributor (no people management) and drives cross-functional execution across Oracle Linux engineering, OCI engineering, security/compliance, QE/release, and partner teams to deliver secure, operationally ready capabilities on a predictable cadence.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $115,400 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive product strategy, requirements, priorities, and delivery governance for Oracle Linux and UEK initiatives aligned to OCI roadmaps and service needs.
  • Lead cross-functional execution by establishing project definitions, success metrics, dependencies, timelines, and operational readiness gates.
  • Drive delivery for key initiatives including confidential computing enablement, KVM/virtualization, hardware/shape bring-up (e.g., Ampere and GPU enablement), and SmartNIC/CNIC integration.
  • Lead Oracle Linux security assurance planning and execution, including guidance for FIPS readiness, alignment to post-quantum cryptography (PQC) roadmap, vulnerability assessment posture, and security-focused release checklists.
  • Own OCI Oracle Linux image strategy and lifecycle, including content planning/tracking, “evergreen” ownership transitions, and delivery of immutable image patterns.
  • Partner with OCI operations and service teams to produce runbooks and training that enable secure, repeatable, and auditable image deployment at scale.
  • Maintain clear, current documentation and stakeholder alignment on scope/out-of-scope decisions, delivery plans, and release readiness to ensure high-quality, on-time shipments.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10plus years of experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher)
  • Excellent technical leadership, team collaboration, communication, and mentoring skills
