Position Summary | This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Student Technical Assistant for the EOARC Union at Oregon State University (OSU). The Martyn Ecology lab is looking for a research technician interested in helping with some current and future projects on seed-based restoration out at EOARC – Union. |

Preferred (Special) Qualifications | Interest in seed-based research, attention to detail, experience in data entry/management, good communication skills |
Working Conditions / Work Schedule | Hours are flexible. Some projects needed to be checked daily (i.e. counting germs on the thermogradient table) and in such a case the technician will work with Dr. Martyn to develop a schedule on who will check which day (for example – Martyn: Sat, Sun, Mon, Fri & Tech: Tues, Wed, Thurs). A handful of tasks could be performed separately at EOU (including counting out seeds, greenhouse experiments, and counting germinants from field germ bags) but the technician must be able to work at EOARC as well. · Start date – as soon as possible · Location – Eastern Oregon Ag Experiment Center (EOARC) in Union, OR · Pay – $14-18/hr depending on experience · Hours – Academic year (up to 12hrs per week); Summer (up to 40 hrs per week) |
