Position Summary | This recruitment will be used to fill two part-time (8-20 hours per week) Research Assistant positions in the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences at Oregon State University (OSU). The employees will assist in a combination of data analyses, engineering developments, and field work to support the Nash Research Lab in Corvallis, OR (OSU Campus). The research team led by Dr Jonathan Nash studies ocean mixing dynamics in a variety of environments ranging from the open ocean to glacier faces. The success of this project depends on the development and deployment of several autonomous craft (surface and underwater) carrying oceanographic instrumentation, and the analyses of data collected by these instruments. These students will assist with the development of our autonomous craft and sensor systems. The students will function as part of a small existing team of personnel that are highly dedicated to the success of this project. |
