Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill three part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Student CRM Assistant positions for the Division of Extension and Engagement (DEE) at Oregon State University (OSU).
The Extension Computing Technology Unit (ECTU) in DEE seeks a student to assist with development and administration of business applications using the Salesforce CRM platform. We are seeking a student who is able to work approximately 8-20 hours per week. Candidate must be interested in developing their professional skills. Training will be provided, as necessary. Student employees are trained on the job and work alongside a full-time developer. They will be asked to use online training to familiarize with the platform.
Student employees are members of the ECTU team and are therefore critical to the success of CRM tools being developed for faculty and staff in approximately 10 OSU Extension Service program areas—including 4-H, Agriculture & Natural Resources, Family & Community Health, Forestry & Natural Resources, Open Campus, Oregon Sea Grant, Outdoor School, and Center for Oregon Recreational Economy — the impacts of which are seen in all 36 of Oregon’s counties. Work is performed from the Corvallis campus. The software tools we develop lead to efficient business processes, enhance the constituent experiences, improve data quality, and generally support success of Extension Service programming delivered across the state.
There are many benefits of this position for the selected student, including building professional skills and networking with current admins/developers from around the OSU campus. We see this as a position in which the student is encouraged to contribute their own innovative ideas and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges.
The successful candidate’s work schedule is flexible and can be set to work around course schedules.
Regarding work schedule: All candidates MUST have at least some availability during Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Alternative work schedule options will be available, as necessary.
