Your Team

As the Asset Management & CMDB Governance Lead you will be a senior individual contributor accountable for enterprise‑wide governance, control design, and oversight of technology asset and CMDB data. This role operates with significant autonomy to define standards, embed controls into operating processes, and provide executive‑level insight to ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, and risk transparency.

Location: Newark, NJ hybrid (3 days/week in office)

Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day

  • Own enterprise governance frameworks for Technology Asset Management and CMDB
  • Define and enforce standards, policies, and control requirements across the technology lifecycle
  • Design and execute preventive and detective controls aligned to SOX, NYDFS, NIST, and internal risk frameworks
  • Establish and monitor enterprise data quality KPIs, scorecards, and thresholds
  • Identify systemic data quality and governance risks and independently drive remediation
  • Govern alignment across Asset Management, CMDB, Technology Lifecycle Management, Architecture, and ITSM processes
  • Embed governance requirements into operational workflows and platform configurations
  • Serve as functional governance owner and subject matter expert for ServiceNow CMDB
  • Provide audit‑ready documentation, evidence, and traceability for internal and external reviews
  • Produce executive‑level reporting on asset and CMDB health, risk exposure, and compliance posture
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and governance forums
  • Drive continuous improvement and maturity of asset and CMDB governance practices

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Technology Asset Management, CMDB, Technology Governance, or related enterprise functions
  • Demonstrated experience designing and operating governance and control frameworks at enterprise scale
  • Strong hands‑on experience with enterprise ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow HAM/SAM)
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and control frameworks (SOX, NYDFS, NIST, ISO)
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and influence across teams without direct authority

What we offer you:

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $114,500.00 to $188,900.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
