At Qualcomm China, you will contribute to cutting-edge consumer and gaming technologies, specializing in power/thermal optimization and advanced silicon driven features. You will design, develop, validate, and commercialize software solutions, collaborating across systems, hardware, architecture, and test engineering teams to launch innovative products. Your role will encompass performance analysis, power management, system-level debugging, and competitive benchmarking, driving next-generation experiences in embedded systems and gaming technologies.
Responsibilities:
Develop and validate power/thermal features for various consumer silicon platforms, ensuring internal and customer required targets are met. Analyze power/thermal behavior and logs to identify and resolve root causes, providing software solutions through code inspection and debugging. Maintain knowledge of power/thermal management software, Android HAL/User Space layer, and platform driver development. Mentor, train and possibly lead other engineers and technical peers on proposed technical innovations and solutions. Collaborate with hardware/software development teams and customer engineering teams to address power/performance/thermal issues. Optimize application features including user experience and gaming cases, bearing in mind of performance and power trade offs, and support commercialization of advanced technologies in real time and post processed solutions. Perform competitive analysis of CPU and GPU performance for use cases and different product lines. Evaluate and commercialize features, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Skills/Experience:
- 10+ years of software development experience in wireless, telecommunications, or semiconductor industries.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++, embedded systems, and Android HAL/User Space software.
- Expertise in system-level debugging and mobile phone/XR power/thermal optimization.
- Familiarity with Linux kernel and different operating systems is a plus.
- Experience with game performance and power analysis, as well as 3D graphics technologies (e.g., GLES, Vulkan, DX) is a plus.
- Knowledge of advanced rendering techniques, including rasterizers and ray tracing pipelines, is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a team player.
- Proficiency in reading/writing English documents; strong listening and oral English skills are a bonus.
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Preferred: Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
