The Red Hat Research Team team is looking for a motivated student who can join us in the Brno office and who wants to gain hands-on experience with open source and Red Hat products. The intern’s high-level assignment is to design and implement a web portal that guides users through creating and maintaining an AI Bill of Materials (AI-BOM). The portal should combine structured form-based questions (wizard flow) with an LLM assistant that can suggest or complete information, and integrate with selected third-party modules(e.g., GitHub/GitLab, Hugging Face, package registries, CVE databases) to automatically enrich the data. The system should support user roles (admin, editor, reviewer, reader), a draft-to-publish workflow, versioning, and export in both machine-readable (JSON) and human-readable (Markdown/PDF) formats.

Red Hat’s Intern Program is a collaborative effort between the Emerging Talent team and our intern managers. The program is designed to offer a meaningful and well-rounded experience — combining professional development, networking opportunities, social engagement, and impactful work. This is a paid internship based in our Brno office, typically lasting 12 months, with the possibility to extend up to 24 months. Interns work on average 20 hours per week, with flexible working hours, and the expected start date is July 1st.

What you will do:

• Talk to various communities in Red Hat to better understand their expectations

• Design and implement the solution on top of the existing open source software

• Make this open project available for everyone interested
  

What you will bring:

• You must be enrolled in a Czech university (Bachelor’s 3rd/4th year or Master’s) for the full internship duration and be able to work full-time within 2 years.

• Working knowledge of written and spoken English

• Interest in development in Typescript/Node.js or WordPress

• Interest in User Interface and User Experience

• Interest in learning new technologies; problem-solving skills.

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
