Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Configures and maintains business systems and applications to ensure they operate efficiently and meet the functional needs of users across the university
- Manages daily operations of enterprise systems that support administrative, academic, and operational processes, ensuring consistent performance and availability
- Troubleshoots technical issues and resolves system errors, working with vendors or internal IT teams as needed to restore functionality and minimize disruptions
- Implements updates, patches, and system enhancements to improve functionality, address security vulnerabilities, and align systems with evolving institutional requirements
- Collaborates with stakeholders across departments to assess business needs, ensure system capabilities support operational goals, and maintain alignment with strategic initiatives
- Oversees data integrity, security, and reporting functions, ensuring accurate data management within systems and providing critical insights to support decision-making
- Other duties as assigned

The Registrar’s Office is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and training for all student information system functions related to student academic records and courses. The office takes an active role in supporting the academic and student data needs of every academic and student service units on campus. The office is also responsible for ensuring the integrity and the security of student academic data. The student information system has many complexities and opportunities to use systems and data to support institutional goals.
The Sr. Student Systems Analyst is a functional and technical lead and the successful candidate will play an important role in supporting and leading the efforts of the office to use of critical systems and academic and student data to support strategic initiatives in the office and more broadly in Academic Affairs. The position works closely with the Senior Associate Registrar and assists with implementation of system upgrades, releases, and new functionality.
- Collaborate with the Senior Associate Registrar to support the day-to-day operations of the Office of the Registrar by updating and testing PeopleSoft configurations and processes, running batch processes, and supporting other related student systems and applications.
- Working closely with Registrar’s Office staff and campus partners to complete impact analysis and regressing testing to support upgrades and new functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and technical teams and vendors to complete user acceptance testing, resolve issues, and collect business requirements to support successful implementations.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of the Registrar’s secure electronic forms and workflow processes.
- Create reports using PS Query and other tools, while ensuring data integrity and security.
- Manages the data request process from beginning to end with an emphasis in providing accurate, timely and secure information to meet the needs of academic and administrative decision makers for the University.
- Serve as the cross-functional and technical expert for academic departments and other functional divisions and units related to the use of SIS data (tables, queries, reports, pages, etc.).
- Responsible for developing and maintaining a data audit strategy to ensure that SIS data is captured and maintained accurately, follows policy, and is securely maintained. Coordinates efforts to identify data integrity issues and seeks ways to reduce or eliminate them; facilitates the correction of data errors.
- Represents the Registrar’s Office on the Data Warehouse initiative for all Registrar sponsored iterations, validating data, performing tests, and developing/delivering end-user training of specified reporting tools.
- Meets with internal and external customers to gather and/or clarify requirements associated with development iterations and to perform status reporting. Performs detailed analysis and documentation of requirements to determine the best solution for meeting customer needs.
- Manages and submits enrollment and degree data to the National Student Clearinghouse for compliance with Federal Student Financial Aid programs, and verification processes for third parties.
- Implements and oversees compliance with Information Security Standards outlined by the Institute Security Office as it relates to student information.
- Maintains the Office of the Registrar website.
- Serves as staff technology expert staying abreast of changes in technology that can serve the needs of the office and suggesting changes to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Coordinates service requests with ITS to provide basic support for office computers and ensures that computers have up-to-date security programs and patches installed.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
