Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plans and implements on-site productions engineering support for mixed media events
  • Schedules and leads technicians installing, testing, operating and removing production event support technology equipment
  • Manages resolution of technical problems during live production events
  • Coordinates preventative maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the facilities systems and equipment
  • Collaborates with campus departments to define technical needs, identify problems, and provide production system solutions
  • Participates in ongoing professional development and participates in committees, task forces, and special projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Knowledge of live television or live event production operations and engineering
  • Knowledge of audio/visual signal processing systems
  • Skill in network and IT infrastructure technologies
  • Skill in customer service
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to trouble shoot problems and implement solutions

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Associate's degree in related field
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered

Job Level Overview

Specialized Contributor Level 2 - A fully functional role requiring established knowledge of the profession or field of work. Responsible for completing substantive assignments and projects. Problems are varied and non-routine, and resolution requires exercising judgment, analysis, advisement, creativity, and understanding broader sets of issues. May provide assistance to entry level staff.
