Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an IST Analyst I within the Integrated Science and Technology Central Core Department at the Rutgers Cancer Institute. The IST Analyst I is responsible for the design, planning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of Cancer Registry servers, technical systems, application systems, networks, hardware inventory, and related components. Under the direction of the Director of the New Jersey State Cancer Registry (or designee), the IST Analyst I develops, designs, creates, and monitors sophisticated systems to support informatics initiatives related to cancer registry, clinical research, basic and epidemiologic research, and other areas at the Cancer Institute. The IST Analyst I also recommends policy and develops procedures that relate to the security, collection, storage, operation, and access of information. Additionally, the IST Analyst I ensures that confidentiality and safety measures are maintained as outlined by the National Cancer Institute, the HIPAA Compliance Committee, and other agencies and auditing bodies. This role also serves as technical expert and principal analyst, coordinating activities of Cancer Registry IT unit. Among the key duties for this position are the following:
