| Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Project Engineer for the Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT) within the School of Engineering. Reporting to the Director of the Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT) and working independently with clearly defined objectives, the Research Project Engineer will lead the technical development team and will act as a liaison between CAIT and transit clients, lead the joint efforts to ensure system reliability and scalability, and serve as the primary technical authority throughout the project lifecycle. This is a high-impact role with cross-unit visibility at CAIT and its transit clients. It is ideal for a hands-on engineer with a solid foundation in supply chain systems and related technologies and a strong desire to evolve into a leadership role in complex program delivery and maintenance systems. It is expected that through the activities at the center, the individual becomes recognized nationally as a subject matter expert, able to provide direction on transportation systems, and act as a consultant to industry, state DOTs, research institutions, and academia.
