| Posting Summary | Rutgers University- Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking a Laboratory Assistant in the Department of Biological Sciences. Reporting to the Principal Investigator (PI) of the Friedman laboratory, this position’s primary role is to assist the PI and other laboratory personnel in conducting basic scientific research. This position is responsible for and not limited to the following: · Performing multistage purifications, other assays, and tests. · Propagating specimens and cell cultures. · Preparing tissues, chemicals, and animals for testing. · Maintaining records. · General organization and support of the laboratory. The position is dependent on adequate external funding. |
