Meet your team
You will become a member of a development team working on Busola, an open-source dashboard for Kyma - a Kubernetes-based cloud-native runtime, also developed by our teams. You will support your colleagues in the implementation of tasks from the team backlog. You will participate in team meetings, such as planning, retrospective, or daily stand-ups. As you still will be a student, your working hours will be flexible. Although, we count on you working 20 hours per week.
Kyma (https://kyma-project.io/) is an open-source product that allows you to quickly start developing cloud-native applications with Kubernetes and combine legacy monolithic systems with the cloud-native world and microservices.
Our teams built Kyma from scratch. We have a real say in what Kyma architecture looks like and which technologies are used.
What you´ll do
n this position, you'll get new experiences and skills, especially through:
- Developing frontend application in React and Javascript
- Getting familiar with Kubernetes API and extensions
- Contributing to open source projects
- Building prototypes and demos for the product management- and architects team to analyze the pros and cons of a technology in a hands-on fashion
- Creating and maintaining full automation of testing and release processes
- Deploying products to cloud environments
- You must be able to meet the team in the office, but you can combine it with hybrid remote work, too
What you bring
- Current enrollment to the University / Preferred field(s) of study: computer science, software engineering or equivalent
- Development skills in one (or more) of modern programming languages: Javascript (preferred), Go, Java, Python, Kotlin, etc.
- Knowledge of one (or more) frontend development framework: React (preferred), Angular, Vue
- Openness to new programming languages and cloud-oriented technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes
- Passion for frontend programming combined with willingness to learn new technologies
- Good communication skills and communicative English; proficient Polish would be an advantage
- On-site work expected during onboarding time in amount of 80% of time per week
