Job Title: IT Technology Services Senior Specialist

Purpose and Objective:

SAP America, Inc. seeks an IT Technology Services Senior Specialist at our Newtown Square, PA location to deliver outcomes of assigned projects; work independently on topics while setting priorities having sole responsibility.

Expectations and Tasks:

Represents SAP to customers. Support projects driven by Global IT for which the necessary infrastructure layout as well as operations concepts need to be developed. Serve as an interface between the Project/Program Managers of the Application organization', the 'Infrastructure organization' and the SAP Development organization. Evaluate the infrastructure impact of IT projects based on business needs. Design the required infrastructure setup (SAP and non-SAP technology, database, operating systems, network environment, storage technology, security related topics, etc). Perform sizing of the required hardware. Support the setup of the required infrastructure. Support / consult implementation projects and internal customers. Develop operating and security concepts that guarantee the operations compliance of the underlying infrastructure setup including the new solution. Prepare / handover the project landscapes including operating and security concepts to the corresponding technology hubs. Perform system owner related tasks if required.

Education and Occupational Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:

Experience must involve four (4) years in the following:

  • SAP S/4HANA and SAP NetWeaver;

  • Designing and implementing SAP Applications and Databases, focusing on High Availability and disaster recovery concepts;

  • Finding and fixing problems with load balancers;

  • Analyzing S/4HANA data footprint, including server downsizing and upsizing; and

  • SAP Data Migration.

License / Certification required:

  • Microsoft Azure Architect; and

  • SAP Workloads on Azure.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $125,611 - $180,576. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $125,611 - $205,200. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
