Job Title: Senior Developer

Purpose and Objective:

Ariba, Inc. seeks a Senior Developer at our Plano, TX location to be responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, and quality assurance of specific SAP product features in a development team.

Expectations and Tasks:

Resolves complex issues within own area of expertise and supports others in resolving issues. Analyze and solve issues in existing and new code. Provide application implementation services typically within the boundaries of specifications and project plans. Design activities include requirements analysis and design documentation. Implementation activities include implementation, testing, and integration. Maintenance activities include error analysis and removal. Extends, modifies or adapts existing designs but may also be involved in the development of new (sub-) systems. Explore new technologies to propose and apply them to existing or new integration solutions. Proof of concept creation to demonstrate the new technology can be applied to Integration solutions.

Education and Occupational Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:

Experience must involve four (4) years in the following:

  • Software development life cycle analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance;

  • Application software architecting in integration solution, web-based, and distributed architecture environments;

  • Java/J2EE full stack development, Spring, Spring-boot, Spring-cloud, Spring-Security, Web Services, Integration Gateway Domain, Angular, React, Feature Engineering (AI), Generative AI, REST API, XSLT, SOAP, Oauth2, SAML protocols, basic cryptography, message broker, Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS, ESB and Microservices;

  • Model, design, document, and drive topics to resolution for Cloud native products;

  • Develop highly scalable microservices using Cloud Technology Platform;

  • Public and private cloud application development, monitoring, and maintenance technologies using Spring cloud and Cloud Technology Platform;

  • Cloud native development and migrating monolithic application to micro services with best practices;

  • NoSQL DB, MongoDB, Graph database, HSQLDB, SQL Developer, Mockito, and Spoc;

  • Develop CI/CD multi branch pipeline across multiple projects with security scans integrated with SonarQube, Fortify, whitesource, and checkmarx; and

  • Production monitoring and consolidating metrics using Splunk, Kibana, and Grafana.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $149,781 - $223,344. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $149,781 - $253,800. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
