About the Role

SAP Concur runs the world’s leading travel-and-expense SaaS platform—millions of users, billions of receipts, and petabytes of rich spend data. We are embarking on a bold AI-first, data-first transformation that puts large-language models (LLMs) and agentic automation at the heart of the user experience.

Our goal: remove busywork for travelers, accelerate decision-making for finance teams, and raise the automation bar

To make that happen, we need a rock-star engineer—someone who blends world-class architecture skills with hands-on coding, can lead by influence across dozens of agile squads, and turns ambiguous problems into reliable, scalable solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect and build production-grade agent flows: retrieval, tool orchestration, safety guardrails, and telemetry
  • Lead end-to-end delivery—design reviews, code, deploy, observe, iterate
  • Mentor and influence squads to adopt modern AI patterns and automation best practices
  • Drive performance and cost efficiency of LLM integrations at enterprise scale

What Makes You a Fi

  • 10+ years building high-scale, multi-tenant enterprise software
  • Hands-on experience shipping LLM/agentic use cases, with emerging LLM toolkits—e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, OpenAI SDK, etc
  • Strong backend chops in one or more of Go, Java, Python, Node; plus GraphQL or event-driven architectures
  • Proven leadership—can set technical direction and uplevel other engineers
  • Bias for shipping fast, safely: feature flags, A/B tests, structured rollouts
  • Prior exposure to finance, payments, or compliance domains
  • Thought-leadership in prompt engineering, AI safety, or agent evaluation

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 164,700 - 374200(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
