We help the world run better

At SAP, we enable you to bring out your best. Our company culture is focused on collaboration and a shared passion to help the world run better. How? We focus every day on building the foundation for tomorrow and creating a workplace that embraces differences, values flexibility, and is aligned to our purpose-driven and future-focused work. We offer a highly collaborative, caring team environment with a strong focus on learning and development, recognition for your individual contributions, and a variety of benefit options for you to choose from.

What you'll do

As a developer in the user assistance (technical writing) team, you will develop internal tools based on LLMs on SAP Business Technology Platform. The tools will boost the productivity of user assistance developers and improve the quality and consistency of our user interfaces, help documentation, and other deliverables. You will create prototypes and turn them into tools that the wider community can use.

In our team, you will be part of our User Assistance (UA) developer team and will learn how advancements in generative AI and large language models streamline our processes – and contribute to a great UA developer experience.

You will work together with the most AI-savvy colleagues in user assistance in SAP Supply Chain Management. They already created a few prototypes and developed and delivered numerous info sessions and promptathons.

What you bring

  • Master student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Preferred fields of study: computer science
  • Computer skills: JavaScript, Python, APIs, and deep knowledge and interest in Generative AI and Large Language Models
  • Language skills: fluent in English and German
  • Soft skills: team player, can work individually
  • Others: interest in user experience design and software telemetry

Meet your team

We are a team of 60+ highly motivated authors and translators, all working for the latest products within SAP Supply Chain Management. Our team is spread across different locations such as Germany, Hungary, India, China, New Zealand, and Canada. We will be the first users of the tools you build.
You will collaborate closely with our AI expert group in Germany but will also get a chance to meet and network with experienced colleagues and other students, inside and outside of SAP Supply Chain Management.

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.

This is a SAP global, strategic, paid working student position that provides students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers.
