The Global Head of Product Marketing Cross-Product Customer Experience Suite will oversee the product marketing efforts, building an aligned narrative, and winning marketing strategy for all products in the Sales & Service category of the CX product portfolio. In this role, they will be responsible for developing a consistent product messaging and positioning plan for Sales, Service and ESM, building and streamlining pricing and packaging, increasing brand awareness, and ensuring the solution lands effectively in the hands of our field, partners and customers to drive engagement from discovery through adoption.
What you will do
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of CX, the Head of Product Marketing must have prior experience as a product marketing leader, understand the competitive CX, CRM, Commerce, and Marketing Automation Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) landscape, and be able to partner in developing compelling go-to-market strategies. Working closely with Product Management, Corporate/Field Marketing, and other stakeholders they will ensure the Sales & Service Marketing strategy aligns with SAP’s objectives and contribute to revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
The Product Marketing function requires deep subject matter expertise (SME) across CX product areas and the ability to represent this depth to stakeholders inside and outside the company. She/he will lead the alignment of our cross-CX marketing strategy, field enablement, product launches, product marketing content creation within the CX solution to build an aligned go to market approach across our CX product portfolio.
The successful candidate must be comfortable leading a highly matrixed organization and collaborating with other leaders.
Specifically, you will
- Lead a team of experienced product marketing experts to drive conception and definition of the cross-CX marketing and messaging narrative and go-to-market strategy (prioritize market segments, author end-to-end value proposition tuned to each segment, define marketing plan to realize strategy)
- Orchestrate execution of the go-to-market strategy across stakeholder groups via integration of the Customer Experience strategy into broader SAP organization
- Define the Market Opportunity Map and marketing plan forall CX topics that span CX product areas. These may include AI, reporting/analytics, packaging, services, and new innovation across the CX product area through continuous improvement of the strategy based on market feedback and data-driven acceptance and adoption reporting
- Voice of the Market – Based on deep understanding and engagement with the Customer Experience market (customers, sellers, partners, analysts, competitors) act as internal champion for market requirements both current and future.
- Define content strategy for events, inclusive of owning keynote storylines and broad CX event approach to ensure our solution is represented as a unified, aligned suite.
- Identify and drive cross-team initiatives including migrations and adoption programs to improve market positioning, increase win rates, expand customer footprint and reduce churn.
- Voice of SAP – Serve as lead spokesperson for CX (for key 1:1 moments, strategic customer interactions, analysts and press). Own the end-to-end story appealing to the SAP install base to expand their SAP footprint across CX
- Grow the use cases of ESM across SAP internal teams by partnering with all lines of business outside of CX on a joint go-to-market approach
- Define Packaging and Pricing in partnership with Business Models & Pricing team to ensure CX solutions are packaged effectively within the CX suite and as components of the overall SAP go-to-market offerings.
- Ensure excellence in the customer journey content, programs, and resources for your product area, alongside Corporate Marketing
- Define and deliver sales enablement for cross-CX topics including AI, packaging, reporting offerings, service offerings, etc.
What you will bring
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies for complex software products, with strong experience in Customer Experience SaaS. Prior experience as a product marketing leader in CX software technology company is a must
- Excellent understanding of the CX, marketing automation, CRM, and Commerce product landscape, customer needs, and competitive landscape
- 10+ years’ experience in product marketing, product management, or a similar discipline and 5+ years’ experience in managing product marketing teams
- Experience in driving growth strategies, defining commercial terms, and product marketing plans for cloud products
- Strong collaborator who can manage up, across and within the organization, working with teams such as Sales, Marketing, Product Engineering, Finance and Operations
- Excellent storyteller and proven ability to translate product features into compelling value propositions and marketing messages at global and regional levels
- Strong understanding of SaaS business models, customer acquisition strategies, and the customer lifecycle
- Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to influence without authority and drive clarity and alignment across a large set of stakeholders
- Data-driven mindset with experience in using analytics and KPIs to measure marketing effectiveness and make decisions
- Experience with modern marketing channels spanning digital, social, virtual events, etc.
- Experience working closely with product management, engineering, and sales leaders
- Fluent in English

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 30800 - 523500 (USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
