Building on the intelligent enterprise strategy, SAP Signavio set out to assist and accompany SAP customers in navigating through their digital transformation by helping them gain insights and improve their business processes. The Platform Services Group is part of the Platform Group, one of five groups in the engineering department of the SAP Signavio unit. We value consistency, modularity, reusability, and simplicity.
The focus of the Platform Services Group is shared backend services providing integration and extensibility capabilities and thus forming central building blocks for SAP Signavio’s Suite.
What you will do

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust ETL pipelines (including optimized queries, programs, and automated processes) to accommodate increasing data volume, velocity, and complexity while ensuring high data quality standards.

You will be a key driver for providing analytics capabilities to the whole SAP Signavio Product & Engineering group, enabling data-driven insights that harness the immense value derived from the combination of our data.

Technologies you will be in touch with are: S3, Redshift, Airflow, Spark, Rest API, SAP Datasphere.

Your tasks will include integrating SAP’s analytics portfolio, including SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SAP HANA Cloud.

Collaborate closely with various teams to understand their requirements and support them in implementing optimized solutions. This includes one-on-one or group sessions to walk through requirements and ensure successful adoption.

Future vision: You will be part of the team building a central best-in-class analytics platform for SAP Signavio, serving internal and customer-facing data analysis.

Analytical and Problem-solving Skills – Capable of assessing requirements and transforming them into valuable insights.

Mentoring and coaching skills are essential for this role. You will be expected to guide and help team members develop their technical skills.

You have solid programming skills in Python and SQL.

Experience in the development of large-scale cloud data storage / cloud data warehouse + experience with relational, non-relational, or analytical databases.

Experience with data modelling and data analysis / architecture.

Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including CI/CD, Test-Driven Development, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, testing, and operations.
