Position Overview
We are looking for a backend intern with a strong interest in Cloud Native architecture and AI-assisted programming. The company provides a merchant-facing storefront-hosting e‑commerce cloud platform. You will participate in the development and optimization of the platform’s backend features, build highly available backend services using Golang or Node.js, and integrate AI-assisted tools/models into the development workflow or product to improve efficiency and user experience.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design, development, testing, and deployment of backend services for the e‑commerce cloud platform, ensuring code quality and performance.
- Research and experiment with AI-assisted programming and developer productivity tools (examples: Anthropic Claude, Code, Cline, Cursor, etc.), and integrate them into the development process or product features.
- Write technical documentation, unit tests, and automation scripts; participate in code reviews.
- Join team technical discussions and help drive engineering best practices and knowledge sharing.
Requirements (must-have)
- Current student in a computer-related major; internship or project experience is a plus.
- Proficient in at least one of Golang or Node.js, capable of independently implementing server-side features.
- Practical exposure to or learning experience with Cloud Native technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, service discovery).
- Familiar with REST/gRPC, HTTP, basic networking, relational/NoSQL databases, and concurrency models.
- Experience using or researching AI-assisted programming tools/platforms; preference given to candidates who have used Claude, Code, Cline, Cursor, or similar tools.
Preferred
- Experience operating cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) or Kubernetes.
- Experience building AI/LLM integrations (prompt design, API calls, inference deployment) or contributions to relevant open-source projects.
- Strong communication skills, fast learning ability, and teamwork mindset.
Internship Information
- Duration: minimum 6 months (full-time)
- Onsite requirement: 5 days per week (as required by the role)
