Your Role: Driving Value Through Data
As a Data Transformation Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our team’s capabilities in data engineering, data warehousing, and database management. You’ll work on challenging projects that involve designing and maintaining robust data pipelines, implementing advanced data solutions, and enabling seamless access to insights for stakeholders globally. Your expertise will empower Siemens to make informed decisions and achieve operational excellence.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for processing and transforming large datasets.
- Develop and optimize data warehouse solutions using tools like Snowflake, dbt, MS Fabric, or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from diverse sources into centralized repositories.
- Implement best practices for version control and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub.
- Analyze business requirements to design efficient database architectures that support reporting and analytics needs.
- Write complex SQL queries and scripts; leverage Python for advanced data processing tasks.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across all systems.
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders by translating technical insights into actionable business strategies.
What You Bring to the Table
We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a passion for data engineering and digital transformation. To succeed in this role, you should have:
Required Qualifications
- A strong background in database management, data engineering, or related fields.
- Proficiency in tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Azure DevOps, MS Fabric, or GitHub.
- Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write efficient queries for large datasets.
- Experience in creating ETL/ELT pipelines; knowledge of Python is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and modern data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex tasks.
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English (both written and spoken).
Preferred Skills
- Certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203), Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer, or equivalent - advantage
- Knowledge of parallel processing concepts and distributed computing frameworks.
- Experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau is advantageous.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies or project management certifications (e.g., Scrum).
