The Project Engineer will support the Onshore Project Manager (PM) in managing projects related to APS and MMI refurbishments, along with similar future projects. This role covers technical tasks, from design-phase clarifications to on-site installation, testing, and commissioning support. The Project Engineer will report directly to the PM and is based in Taipei, with frequent travel to project sites in Taipei and Kaohsiung.
Responsibilities:
  • Act on behalf of the PM in dealings with customers and internal/external partners.
  • Attend regular and ad-hoc project meetings to ensure information and requests are understood and communicated within the project team.
  • Oversee document submission and material deliveries to ensure proper control and timely execution.
  • Assist with material delivery, dismounting, installation, unpacking, packing, transportation checks, and storage at project sites or destination warehouses.
  • Supervise subcontractors or clients during dismounting, installation, and testing at the site, providing advice or corrective actions when necessary.
  • Participate in onshore test verification during day or night shifts.
  • Investigate, coordinate, and report on-site technical problems and issues
  • Involve in reliability verification tests, preliminary failure investigations, and coordinate with end users to collect required failure information.
  • Engage in spare parts and warranty project activities.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication in both Mandarin and English during meetings and on-site activities.
Requirements:
  • Proficient in reading, listening, and speaking English; good command of Mandarin.
  • Experience in Railway E&M project execution and fieldwork.
  • Understanding of project submission processes, scheduling, and quality management.
  • Strong technical skills with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Safety and Health certificate.
  • Willingness to work day or night shifts as required.
