At our Siemens Foundational Technologies Development Center we are focused on a product development including software development, hardware development, mechanical design, and testing for the next generation concept of Industry 4.0.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Lead Product Security Engineer to join us and help us build cybersecurity Certification Lab. You will focus on the security of industrial products such as PLCs, RTUs, and Profinet-based devices. This role involves hands-on testing, design analysis, and collaboration with development teams to ensure products meet the highest security standards and comply with regulatory requirements like the Cyber Resilience Act.


Your task will be:
  • Analyze product designs to identify potential security vulnerabilities
  • Develop and refine security testing practices based on legal and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct security assessments and penetration testing on industrial control systems and embedded devices
  • Supervise and mentor a small team of testers, guiding them through complex evaluations and assessments
  • Follow current events and trends and keep on top of evolving cybersecurity threats, tools, and standards
What we will appreciate from you:
  • 5+ years of experience in software security, application security, or product security
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with penetration testing tools and techniques
  • Understanding of secure coding practices, vulnerability management, and risk assessment
  • Familiarity with security standards and frameworks (e.g., IEC 62443, ISO 27001, NIST)
  • Experience with industrial control systems (PLCs, RTUs) and protocols (e.g., Profinet, Modbus, OPC UA) is plus
  • Experience leading or mentoring technical teams is a plus
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations like the Cyber Resilience Act is an advantage
