Responsibilities:

Work in a global R&D team as the first point of contact between product management teams and engineering teams, to develop/maintain/improve CT clinical application/workflow concepts to support product roadmap planning, advance technology development, clinical research, new product development program execution, and install base customer complaint handling and quality improvement, which includes primary responsibilities as:

  • Analyze customer/clinical requirements (especially Chinese-specified aspects) for new clinical needs, define suitable application/workflow concepts and trigger prototype development/realization, by close work with product manager, research scientists or collaboration managers
  • Lead clinical functionality design with workflow/application concepts for new product /feature development, as well as for pre-development aspects with new application or clinical trends with concepts and fast prototypes focusing on clinical routine diagnostics or clinical research based on CT images.
  • Drive product functionality/feature realization as product/feature owner from concept definition to implementation, as well as clinical evaluations and customer feedback for future improvements.
  • Leading the assessment of CT functionality or clinical application performance (e.g. clinical image quality, clinical workflow effectiveness/efficiency and/or usability), and provide clinical data/image and/or literature based clinical evaluations
  • Work with clinical partners to realize further improvements or realize concepts or prototypes for new application needs.
  • Collaborating with multifunctional teams: software, algorithms, system, mechanics, UX\UI designer, verification, and product managers.
  • Work as direct counter part of global R&D CTC clinical concept team to support clinical concept integration, validation and approval tasks in SSME CT
  • Initiate/perform scientific and clinical collaboration/pre-development and create intellectual properties (e.g. scientific paper or inventions/patents)

Requirements:

Capability:

  • Quick learning ability to understand technology and engineering knowledge for product design
  • Capable of quickly grasping clinical concepts from customer communication and observation
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and Chinese, able to present the clinical scenarios with structured presentation

Education:

M.S. degree or above in below technical fields or related disciplines

  • Medical Imaging, Diagnostic Imaging, Radiology or related field
  • Biomedical Engineering (with practices in clinical environments)
  • Medical physics (with practices in clinical environments)
  • General clinical diagnostics, or department/disciplinaries related with Diagnostic Imaging

Knowledge / Experience

  • Strong expertise in clinical application/workflow in diagnostic imaging related clinical practices or corresponding product/solution developments, which includes
  • - worked in clinical environment with diagnostic imaging modality (e.g. radiology department, or other related clinical departments) and accumulated with certain experiences related clinical wrokflows/applications (e.g. patient examination, image post-processing, diagnosis)
  • - experiences for operation of diagnostic imaging modality (e.g. CT, MRI, PET/CT, etc.),
  • or clinical diagnosis based on out-come from those examinations

Or

  • - experiences with development/study/research on scan workflow concepts for general clinical application, scanner application and post-processing for diagnostic imaging systems
  • Experiences related with
  • Experiences with medical image analysis and/or data analytics for clinical/application research will be preferable
  • For Senior Engineer 3-5 years of relevant work experience in Radiology or with Computed Tomography is preferable, and for Lead position 5-7 years work experience in Radiology related environments or products and 3-5 years of experience relevant with CT or CT industry in a large company in Healthcare is preferrable.
