Overview of position

Working independently and as part of group of Agile Scrum teams in the EU, US and worldwide that applies testing methodologies to improve software quality, including functional, application, regression and performance testing.

You will be a member of IQA team

IQA (Integration Quality Assurance) is a team focused on testing all electronic CAD, Library and Design management tools altogether, often using virtual labs based on replicated customer environments. Our tools work in a web and desktop environment.

Our customers are in all industries: computer systems, electronics, mobile, wireless, industry control systems, medical, semiconductors, telecommunications, automotive, mil-aero, space.

IQA team in Katowice comprises two scrum teams.

What you'll bring

  • We are looking for innovative and inquisitive candidates that demonstrate the following:
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.
  • You have a passion in testing software and in supporting customers to use IT products and services as efficiently as possible,
  • You think logically, willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving
  • You enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions
  • You possess proficient English language skills that facilitate effective communication with your foreign colleagues.
  • Also is beneficial to have:
  • Knowledge of programming language – preferable Python
  • Background in Testing/Quality Assurance processes, procedures, tools
  • Understanding the cloud environment in software development

What you'll be doing
  • Your key role will be to constantly improve the quality of our products
  • Creating and maintaining automated tests
  • Taking part in product development as a quality specialist
  • Helping in quality process improvements
  • Creating and maintaining testing environments
  • Using some of the following technologies
    • Python (PyWinAuto)
    • Docker
    • Selenium
    • PostgreSQL
    • Oracle
    • Windows/Linux
    • JIRA, Confluence
  • Cooperating with Senior Developers on the team

SSP Poland 2025, conditions & eligibility
The Siemens Strategic Student Program (SSP) in Poland offers a part-time or full-time paid internship. Based in Katowice, Poland, the program follows a hybrid or on-location work model and runs for 11-months.
To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled at a Polish university and be eligible to work legally in Poland without immigration support, as Siemens will not cover or facilitate visa or permit processes.
