What will you do?
Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Assume supporting role within Corporate Reporting team to complete monthly financial closings, reporting deliverables, external audits, and variance analysis of KPI’s to identify business drivers of financial results.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentations for Executive Management.
- Assist in the design and creation of new financial reports utilizing Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Perform reconciliations to ensure data integrity of financial systems and accuracy of financial reports.
- Assist with the preparation and consolidation of the monthly Forecasting and annual Budgeting process and reporting from all Business Units.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate existing processes in data collection, consolidation, and reporting.
- Support ad-hoc analysis, reports, and financial digitalization projects as assigned.
Internal Controls
- Assist the co-ordination of financial internal controls reviews such as conducting process walkthroughs, monitoring of control tests, deficiencies, and remediation activities.
- Support review and updates of company wide financial policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Identify opportunities and develop recommendations for process improvements and standardization to enhance operational effectiveness.
What will you need to succeed?
- Recent graduate from a University in Finance or accounting
- Graduated from post-secondary within the last 12 months.
- Above average study performance (Accumulative average > 2.5 (B-)). Transcripts to be provided upon request
- Very proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong aptitude for learning to utilizing large ERP (i.e. SAP) and Business Intelligence tools (i.e. Power BI and Tableau) to analysis large amounts of data.
- Must be able to go the Oakville office an average of 2 days/week.
- High level of critical and logical thinking, analytical skills, and reasoning to identify key risk factors and drivers.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, and dynamic work environment.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with ability to collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership or initiative at school, work and/or community (extra curricular activities)
